Public Information Session: Project Overview & Introduction to the CTDEEP Application Process

As part of its ongoing commitment to community engagement and providing clear, accessible information, Tweed–New Haven Airport (HVN) will host a Public Information Session to provide an overview of its proposed expansion project and the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (CT DEEP) environmental review process.
This session will focus exclusively on what to expect during the application process and how the public can meaningfully engage. It will not discuss the merits of the application or address any concerns about the project. Those topics will be covered in future meetings.
This meeting is informational in nature and is not a required component of the CT DEEP permitting process.

This is not a public hearing. No comments, testimony, or advocacy for or against the project will be accepted.

On November 19th, Tweed-New Haven Airport (HVN) hosted an in-person presentation and Q&A session to launch WebTrak, a new online platform that provides community members real-time access to information on local aircraft activity and noise levels.

On November 12th, the City of New Haven and Tweed-New Haven Airport (HVN) hosted a virtual meeting to follow up on the June Community Meeting to present the findings of recent traffic studies and discuss proposed solutions for traffic calming and mitigation in and around the airport.

On October 1, 2024, Tweed-New Haven Airport (HVN) hosted an information session for residents featuring Air Traffic Control (ATC) staff. The presentation covered ATC procedures to help attendees better understand how flight operations are managed.
This session also introduced WebTrak and Envirosuite—interactive tools that provide real-time details on local aircraft activity, including flight path, altitude, model, and monitored noise levels.
