Tweed-New Haven Airport Invests $250,000 in New East Haven Office to Support Growing Workforce and Operations
New Haven, CT — As part of Tweed–New Haven Airport’s (HVN) continued investment in southern Connecticut, the airport is announcing a new off-airport office located in East Haven to support a rapidly expanding workforce and ongoing operations.
Avports, HVN’s private operator and manager, is investing $250,000 to renovate a 4,771-square-foot office located at 100 South Shore Drive in East Haven. The new office will accommodate approximately 20–25 employees, including airport administrative staff and members of STV, the construction management firm supporting HVN’s $250 million terminal development project.
The East Haven office will include conference rooms, private offices, and flexible hybrid workspaces designed to support collaboration, project coordination, and day-to-day airport operations. The space will function as an extension of on-airport operations, strengthening coordination across teams as HVN continues its rapid growth. The office is scheduled to open in mid-February 2026.
“This investment reflects our commitment to East Haven and the communities that power the airport’s success,” said Michael Jones, CEO of The New HVN. “We are excited to become part of East Haven’s growing business community—working alongside local employers, supporting jobs, and contributing as a long-term partner to the town’s economic and civic vitality.”
The new office also reflects the airport’s longstanding relationship with East Haven and its role as a regional employer. Today, the airport supports more than 780 employees across 25 tenant companies, including HVN’s two commercial carriers, TSA and air traffic control, as well as airport operations, management, concessions, and maintenance teams.
